Quiksilver is a globally recognised surf-and-lifestyle clothing and accessories brand founded in 1969 in Torquay, Australia by surfers Alan Green and John Law. They initially set out to design better-performing boardshorts that offered freedom of movement in the water and the products quickly caught on with the surf community.


Quiksilver expanded its range throughout the 1970s and 1980s into casual apparel, accessories, and boardsports equipment, becoming one of the world’s most recognisable surfwear brands. Its iconic logo, a stylised wave and mountain, reflects the brand’s connection to both the ocean and snowboarding.
