  • Slater crowned winner of Quiksilver Pro France

    The unstoppable Slater has claimed the Quiksilver Pro! Kelly Slater (USA), 40, reigning 11-time ASP World Champion, claimed his 51st elite tour victory today, besting Quiksilver’s wildcard Dane Reynolds (USA), 27, in a hard-fought Final to take out the Quiksilver Pro France.

    20 years after his first professional win held in France, Kelly Slater adds the Quiksilver Pro France to his impressive list of achievements.

    Kelly got the trophy from 5 time world champion Stephanie Gilmore in front of an amazing crowd.

    The next stop on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour will be in Portugal from October 10 – 21, 2012.

    Jordy Smith's Dad's surfboard shaping factory is robbed the day before the hotly anticipated Quiksilver Pro heat between Jordy and Joel Parkinson.

    Speaking in an interview to World Pro Surfers (the video can be seen on YouTube) Jordy’s Dad, Graham Smith speaks of how he’s certain it was an inside job! The thieves took computers, tools, laptop, hard drives… that contained a lifetime of info from surfboard shapers around the world and includes years of Jordy’s board dimensions.

    Parko speaks in the interview too of how crucial refined board measurements are when staging a title campaign.
