Quiksilver have a select few surf shops around the world called ‘Union Stores’ – one of which is Ocean Sports, Brighton (US!). This summer all European ‘Union’ stores were given the opportunity to design their own exclusive Quiksilver boardshorts with a free reign to design a boardshort that reflects where they are from and their store…
We thought a little outside the box for our design, choosing to draw from Brighton’s 60’s MOD heritage – inspired by aspects of MOD culture from the iconic scooter to the fishtail parka. MOD’s used to keep their sharp suits clean while out on their scooters! Our shorts feature army green coloring with badge style initials, targets, retro music images and scooter embroidery, along with black & white checks and red white & blue eyelets.Quiksilver have only produced approx 200 pairs of each short worldwide – so they are pretty unique!
